Previously known as Torchlight Frontiers, the game was given a new name and drastic changes were made to make it feel like a true sequel to previous games in the series. And what was the point of building a fort ? I felt like they lost their time on that aspect of the game, that seem more like a gimmick thing.Torchlight III marks the third installment of the series. I was fairly entertained but all the small glitches and nick-knacks, ruined the experience for me. The music and voice overs were really good.I give it 65% because I loved the first two game. I also had invisible sections of levels around the end. And there was the matter of fleeing pets. I had to go back, choose another one, and take back mine. From one zone to another, the pet would vanish. All the other powers didn't help me.And they were a lot of glitches with the pets. So, I mounted only 4-5 of them to max, with 3 passive. Some magic powers are completely useless while some others extremely strong. Your, shoot a projectile, is very strong and can beat all the game while swinging a sword/mace is extremely weak.

I played with a controller on PC and there were some instances where I had to use the mouse. The combat is somewhat unbalanced.

The story is fair and could have used of more of those 2d stills, then those audio treasures. Torchlight 3 isn't a bad game, it's just that it's not at the level of the two previous games. I like to grind but in the end of this just felt like a complete waste of time. Why couldn't you fix the bugs? And by the end of the game I just wanted it to be over.

I did like the Spells but I just was invested in it. And it looks like a bug that could have been fixed especially since the game was released a year ago. This happening over and over again was so annoying. I would have to go back to my fort and swap out the current pet to a different pet and then re swap the other pet back in in order for it to show up. One thing that happened all the time was my pet would disappear. It just feels like they didn't care about improving the quality. See how this game was released a year ago I'm quite distraught by how they didn't fix the bugs in the game. First thing after I finish the game I really had no desire to continue with the extras better afterwards. The olny reason I'm not rating it lower is because I did have mild fun during the first act.

Torchlight 3 in its current state possesses the bare minimum to be called a game that vaguely resembles Torchlight. My character kept getting pushed out of bounds where I couldn't move. There's a passable ARPG game here somewhere if someone actually cared enough to make the pieces work together. The button to exit out of the current game doesn't even work. The bosses pretty much all fight the same except for the last boss, The game got easier and easier as I progressed, and there was 0 challenge by the 2nd act, and I was completely bored by the third act.The game is also quite buggy. Quests, zones, and enemy encounters are cookie-cutter and perfunctory, lacking inspiration or creativity, and all blend together. It looks like Torchlight, and it plays like Torchlight, but it's not Torchlight.Game balance is awful, and even on the highest difficultyIt looks like Torchlight, and it plays like Torchlight, but it's not Torchlight.Game balance is awful, and even on the highest difficulty there is little to challenge the player, mostly in the form of tedious damage sponges.
